Natalie Stanton’s journey as a local authority Environmental Health Officer (EHO) has given her a front-row seat to the consequences of poorly trained staff in the food industry. She’s seen how just one mistake by a food handler can lead to a low food hygiene rating – or worse, a food poisoning outbreak. For Natalie, food safety training is more than just a ‘tick box’ exercise to get a certificate; it’s a critical measure that directly impacts the success of a business.
Natalie’s passion led her to create The Safety Expert, a business aimed at giving hospitality and catering businesses access to video food safety training delivered by a real EHO. She said:
